Petal & Pine Baby began with a simple realization: baby clothes should make life easier, not harder. While working in the NICU, Julia saw how small design details—like endless buttons—could turn nighttime feeds into major frustrations. Later, as a mom shopping for her own baby boy, she struggled to find clothing that was both stylish and practical, free from the typical loud prints and stereotypes. Inspired to create something better, she combined her NICU experience with her love for fashion to design soft, sustainable pieces that parents can trust and babies can truly live in.

How We Got Started

After finding out we were expecting a baby boy, shopping for clothing became such an exciting part of preparing for his arrival. But after he was born, we realized how hard it was to find pieces that were both cute and practical—especially ones that felt thoughtful to parents and gentle on the planet. That’s when Petal & Pine Baby was born: a line of sustainable babywear designed with real parents in mind and little details that make a big difference.

Julia Clark, the founder of Petal & Pine Baby, combines her background in NICU nursing with a lifelong passion for fashion to create baby clothing that is as functional as it is beautiful. After experiencing firsthand the challenges of traditional babywear—both in the hospital and as a new mom—Julia set out to design pieces that prioritize comfort, sustainability, and timeless style for every little one.
